Hearts on a Leash

Two playful pups, Judy and Elroy, spread love throughout Armonk in their own special ways. One happily delivers a basket overflowing with hearts through the village, while the other pauses to blow a heart-shaped bubble from a park bench. Celebrating friendship, kindness, and the simple joy dogs bring to our lives, Hearts on a Leash reminds us that love is often found in the little moments—and is always meant to be shared.

I was one in 20 artists chosen to participate in this year's Armonk Has Heart Initiative. In the weeks leading up to the 64th Annual Armonk Outdoor Art Show, taking place September 26 & 27, 2026, twenty original tabletop-sized sculptures created by Art Show artists will be displayed throughout participating businesses in downtown Armonk. The program will transform local storefronts, restaurants, offices, and gathering spaces into a
walkable community art experience that celebrates creativity, supports local businesses, and builds excitement for one of the region's premier cultural events.

The twenty sculptures will be displayed inside participating businesses throughout downtown Armonk, encouraging residents and visitors to explore Main Street, discover new shops and restaurants, and experience art in unexpected places. Each sculpture will be uniquely designed by a participating artist, creating a diverse collection of original works that reflect the creativity and character of the community.Maps, artist information, and participating business locations will be available, making it easy for visitors to follow the Art Stroll and view all twenty sculptures.

I was 1 of 12 chosen artists asked to paint one of the sculptures for the Armonk Has Heart Initiative.

"For the month leading up to the much-anticipated Armonk Outdoor Art Show on September 27 & 28, 2025, Armonk Has Heart will feature 12 large fiberglass heart sculptures, each uniquely designed by a different artist. These engaging works of art will be sponsored by local businesses and will transform Armonk into an open-air art gallery.

This is the first-ever public art installation of its kind in Armonk, and it aims to inspire residents and visitors alike to explore the town, engage with local businesses, get excited for the Art Show and feel the heartbeat of this thriving, warm community."
